This project features a real-time game asset of a weathered outdoor air conditioning unit, modeled with close attention to industrial details and aged surface storytelling.
🔧 Workflow Breakdown:
Modeling: Autodesk Maya – clean topology with real-time asset constraints in mind.
Detailing: Subtle mesh sculpting pass in Blender for surface imperfections.
Texturing: Substance Painter – layered grunge, rust accumulation, paint wear, and dirt masks for grounded realism.
Rendering: Final presentation in Unreal Engine 5, lit with a controlled cinematic setup.
I designed this piece to serve as a modular background or hero prop in urban or industrial environments. The weathering passes were intentionally tuned for grounded realism — balancing grime and oxidized metal without overpowering the core form.
This asset is fully PBR-compliant, with baked normals and optimized UVs — making it plug-and-play for use in games, cinematics, or real-time visualizations.
